Phil and Abby finished in 1st place at Hillside
Springs Hunt Club, Edgerton, WI on April 17th and also had the highest
score of the 2 day 2 event tournament and will receive an automatic bid to
the 2005 NBDCA Nationals to be held in Davis City, IA in March 2006.
Phil also won a SKB 505 12 gauge o/u shotgun and a Benelli Nova gun on
Saturday for finishing 2nd with Dixie. Saturday finishes were:
Dixie 2nd, Abby 3rd and Bessie 5th, Sunday: Abby 1st and Bessie 3rd |

The Tournament Hunter 'Classic' was held in Mora, MN
April 1st & 2nd. Only players that had finished in the top 10 of
several major events throughout the year were invited. Bessie and
Abby ran in Top Gun singles and made the top 12 finalist out of 45 dogs in
the Singles division. In the run-offs Bessie finished 4th and Abby
7th. The run-offs were videoed to provide footage for the 'Tournament
Hunter' show to air at a later date. |

Abby and Dixie made the top 10 finalist at the National Upland Classic
Nationals held in Mount Vernon, MO on March17th - 19th. 42 Flushing
dogs competed in the Singles Division. Each dog had to complete a 3
bird quail field, a 3 bird chukar field and a 3 bird pheasant field.
The scores from all 3 fields were added together and the top 10 highest
scores competed in the top 10 Run-off. There were only 5 dogs that
got all their birds in all their fields - Abby and Dixie were 2 of them.
Abby finished 2nd place in the run-offs and Dixie finished 7th.

Dixie at the NBDCA Nationals waiting for her top 10
run-off. Despite 40 plus mph winds Phil and Dixie finished 3rd out
of 50 of the best flushing dogs competing in the NBDCA Nationals Singles
Division held March 10-12 in Davis City, IA. Dixie clinched
3rd spot with a 4 minute - 3 bird run in each of her 2 fields.

The WI Series finals were held February 26-27th at
Hillside Springs Hunt Club in Edgerton WI. At this weekends
tournament Dixie took 1st place in Puppy Flusher. For the season
Abby won 4th place 'Dog of the Year' in the Top Gun Division and Bear won
3rd place 'Dog of the Year' in the Puppy Division. Pictured above
are Phil and John with their trophies at the banquet held Sunday evening.

'Tournament Hunter 'Top Gun Championship
Feb 4-6th:
Phil and Bessie finished 3rd in the top 10 finalist
run-off at the Tournament Hunter Top Gun Championships held at Little
Creek Lodge in Little Suamico, WI Feb 4-6th. There were 72
runs in the Top Gun Division with 10 finalist running off for the
Championship. The tournament had over 400 runs in Top Gun,
Masters, Puppy and Hunter Divisions for Pointing and Flushing.

Phil and Bessie finished 1st place out of 44
Pointers and Flushers at the NBDCA Lee Neary Challenge
held October 30-31,
2004 at Sunny Slope Hunting Preserve in Kenney, IL. Bessie received
an automatic invitation to the NBDCA Nationals held in Davis City, IA in
March 2005. All proceeds from this tournament went to the St Jude's
Children's Foundation. |
