Matt Behe and Brandywines Northern Dixie won 1st
place at the UFTA Nationals Flushing Singles Division held Feb 21-28th,
2009 at Doublehead Resort in AL. Matt and Brandyines Duramizer Chip
won 3rd place. Matt's boykin Brandywines Rich & Smooth
Amberbock finished in 10th position. The top 10 finishers will
receive an automatic bid to the BDC World Championships. There were
61 flushing dogs that ran in the event with the top 20 called back for the
run-offs.

Marty with Reggie (Bessie x Cutty 2005) and Matt
with Amber (Bessie x Cutty 2007) were 2 of the 2008 Top Gun World
Championships top 13 finalists (82 entries). Amber and Bessie (with
Phil) had to compete against each other in the Semi-Finals and Amber beat
her mom by 2 seconds to secure her spot. Reggie went out in the 2nd
round but came back in the Lucky Dog drawing.
Phil and Max also made it to the Semi-Finals.
Matt finished in 9th position and Marty in 6th.
Matt, Phil and Gauge (Harley x Cutty 2006) also
made the top 12 finalist in Doubles (48 entries). They finished in
10th position.
This event will be aired on the Outdoor Channel
beginning January 2010.

Our Boykin Spaniels have given us many hours of enjoyment at home and in
the field. They are excellent upland hunters and field trial dogs.
We travel all over the Midwest from fall till spring attending tournaments
held by Bird Dog Challenge,
Wisconsin Championship Hunting Series,
THCC Majors and
Super Majors and we are attending HRC Hunt Tests also. Our Boykin Spaniels
compete against other breeds of hunting dogs, including Labs, Springer
Spaniels and Golden Retrievers in quail, chukar and pheasant tournaments.
We have traveled to many different places and met a lot of good friends.
