Congratulations to
Bessie and Buster for making the Top 10 in Flushing Doubles at the MENZ Tournament
Hunter Players Championship!!!! WOW!!!
| The MENZ
TOURNAMENT HUNTER PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP held December 2-4, 2004 consists of
the best competitors from all tournament hunting series throughout the
entire country. This event is truly the ultimate in Tournament
Hunting featuring 63 Single Flushing entries and 39 Double Flushing
entries as well as Pointing Division Singles and Doubles.
The format this year was the National Upland Classic Series. Competitors
traveled from all over the country to attend this event. Flushing Doubles consisted of 3 fields each with
13-15 entries. Each Double run consisted of a 6 bird (chukar) set. Each entry consisted of 2 runs per dog
and their scores from each run were added together. The 3
dogs with the highest 2-run total score from each field and the highest
total score not already in the top 3 were selected for the 'Top 10' final
runoff. There were 3 Boykin Spaniels out of 39 total dogs competing in the
Flushing Doubles. John and Phil teamed up to take two of the three Boykins
competing to the Top 10 run-off -
Bessie from Brandywine Creek Boykins and Buster owned by John Rucker of
Tennessee. We feel this is a great accomplishment for the Boykin
Spaniel. The competitors and their dogs were at the top of their
game. For more information about the MENZ TOURNAMENT HUNTER
PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP visit their website at
